About Mark A Jaress
Hello.
My name is Mark Jaress. I’m a retired photographer, Internet developer and software developer for Photoshop plugins. I was a Founding Member at Altamira. Inc., where we developed the the Photoshop plug-in “Genuine Fractals” family, which used fractal math to convert a digital image into an analog image, which allowed extreme scaling of images from early digital cameras.
Most recently, I was Photography and Digital Asset Manager at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where I managed an Enterprise level DAM system (Digital Asset Management) for cataloging and distributing images to the design and marketing team plus other staff members who need access to images. I worked as the staff photographer, shooting events and fashion.
I’ve done web development for both film and television industries, where I’ve won several design awards
I’ve since retired and plan on shooting personal projects such as travel, landscape, street fashion and more in the way of portraiture.
If you’re interested in doing a project, please feel free to contact me. If you’re interested in licensing any of my images, please read my copyrights before contacting me.
